Welcome note by the host
Vivianne Bendermacher (Host | Founder of Techionista)
Vivianne Bendermacher
Vivianne is owner and managing director of Techionista. Together with co-owner and fellow managing director Tamira van Roeyen, she is committed to empowering women through technology. The goal: more women in IT and technology, and a stronger position of women in the labor market through IT skills. IT and technology are still dominated by men. According to her this is a shame, not just because the world of IT and technology is insanely fun and creative; she’d like to see more women ignited by that enthusiasm. With Techionista Academy they (re)trained over 700 women since the start of the company. This year they’re taking Techionista cross border with an international partner. Together they will retrain women from 13 different European countries. Slowly the current tech world is improving with more women on board. Diversity leads to quality. She works hard for this goal. As founder of Techionista, but also on stages as a keynote speaker and as a tech journalist at the desk at, for example, RTL Boulevard.

Prior to joining PayPal, Joachim built more than 15 years of experience in the financial industry on payment transactions with KBC Bank and Atos Worldline, focusing on customer centricity and the war on cash.
